Since 2009, she has worked as a writer and editor focused on international issues. Katherine has coached economists at the World Bank Group and top managers at the Inter-American Development Bank in good writing practices, and taught webinars on effective writing to entrepreneurs for the SBA’s Small Business Development Center in Washington, DC.

Barbara DeLollis, Founder of BD Strategic Communications, is passionate about helping clients accelerate their businesses by articulating and sharing key messages and stories with the right stakeholders at the right times. Her counsel — as well as her press releases, messaging, scripts and media pitches — have helped companies small and large get the external attention they deserve, unlock new opportunities and reduce risk. Over the last decade, she supercharged the reputations and drove revenue as an in-house communications leader at three publicly held companies — Marriott International, American Airlines and Signet Jewelers. Her clients have appeared in the best outlets for their specific audience including The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, Telemundo and WTOP Radio. Prior to her communications and media relations career, she worked for two decades as a journalist for outlets such as USA Today, where she interviewed more than 50 CEOs during high-growth phases and crisis situations.
